CHARITIES

Welcome to the charity page of Snider Financial Group, where we showcase the benevolent spirit that resides at the heart of our business ethos. As a company, we believe in giving back to the community and supporting causes that resonate deeply with our values and vision. Our commitment extends beyond our clients to empowering communities and fostering hope.

We are proud to sponsor several non-profit organizations that tirelessly work towards creating a more compassionate and equitable world. This page provides an overview of these dedicated charities, all of which reflect our mission to facilitate financial stability and prosperity, not only for our clients but for society at large. From advocating for mental health with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to fostering autism awareness with All in for Autism, we invite you to explore the impactful work they do and see how Snider Financial Group contributes to their remarkable missions.

Snider Financial Group is proud to be intimately involved with the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club (BBRC) and its signature event, the All in for Autism 5K/10K Run/Walk. One of our esteemed advisors, Sheldon Sweeney, is not only a dedicated member of the BBRC, but also a passionate supporter of this inspiring cause.

By participating in this event, we are actively working to raise awareness for Autism, celebrate neurodiversity, and extend our support to affected families and caregivers. This annual event has blossomed into Bellevue's leading running event, attracting over 2,500 individuals and raising in excess of $140,000 each year.

As part of our sponsorship, we join other community-conscious organizations, such as Escape Outdoors, The Bellevue Collection, Starbucks, Amazon, and the City of Bellevue, in pooling resources to support not only Autism programs but also other Rotary initiatives benefiting children and families in the local and global communities. One of the primary beneficiaries of the All in for Autism event is Kindering, a highly regarded intervention center that provides excellent education and therapies to children of diverse abilities.

Through our alliance with the BBRC and our support for events like All in for Autism, Snider Financial Group reinforces our commitment to serving and uplifting our community while fostering enduring change.

At Snider Financial Group, we actively extend our support to our team's passionate pursuits, which align closely with our own corporate social responsibility initiatives. One such involvement is our robust partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), championed internally by our in-house CPA, Johnna Long. Recognizing her dedicated involvement with the AFSP, we are committed to exploring comprehensive ways to augment our support for her efforts and the Foundation's commendable cause.

Since its establishment in 1987, AFSP has been a beacon of hope for those affected by suicide, providing a nationwide community empowered by research, education, and advocacy. The Foundation, with its critical vision to save lives and inspire hope, engages in a plethora of strategies, ranging from funding scientific research and advocating for public mental health policies to educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention. As a supporter of AFSP, SFG aligns itself with these laudable endeavors.

Our partnership with AFSP encompasses not only financial backing but also encouragement for education and advocacy initiatives related to mental health and suicide prevention. We are united in the cause to tackle suicide, the third leading cause of death among young people aged 15 to 24, and a major concern among adults aged 40 to 59. By aligning ourselves with AFSP, SFG underscores our commitment to contribute to the societal fabric by facilitating mental health awareness, supporting suicide prevention research, and bolstering community resilience.

Snider Financial Group takes immense pride in aligning with organizations that echo our commitment to community empowerment such as Vine Maple Place, a compassionate entity dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness for single-parent families. Destri Fite, our Director of First Impressions and a former volunteer with Vine Maple Place, was instrumental in bringing this cause to the forefront of our charitable endeavors. In 2023, SFG has chosen to actively support Vine Maple Place through generous donations and dedicated volunteer time.

Vine Maple Place, founded in 2000, provides a safe haven for homeless single parents and their children, aiming to foster stability and self-sufficiency. Their vision is to eradicate family homelessness in South King County, thus ensuring healthier communities where every child and parent can thrive. They serve over 524 families annually through their successful Stable Families model, which caters to families on the brink of homelessness. Their holistic, evidence-based approach has resulted in remarkable success rates, with 91% of families remaining housed one year after exiting the program.

As part of our association with Vine Maple Place, SFG supports their multifaceted endeavors, which include aiding single mothers who often grapple with generational poverty, homelessness, and trauma-induced stress, as well as children who have experienced adverse circumstances. Through our active involvement, SFG is making a tangible difference in the lives of families at Vine Maple Place, reinforcing our commitment to giving back to our community and fostering enduring change.
